Cal Scruby Wants You To “Hold Up” And Witness His Greatness

It’s a good thing to learn the wild ropes of entertainment from the one and only Chris Brown, it’s a whole other level up to actually take those gems of do’s and don’ts and apply them to your own budding career. That’s exactly what Riveting Entertainment’s rising star Cal Scruby is doing with his first official single, “Hold Up” (which follows his last release “Ain’t Shit Change” featuring Chris Brown). With “Hold Up” being produced by frequent collaborator, DJ Corbett, the track takes the trap beat sound and smooths it out a bit. The beat is super bouncy and is perfect to “hit them folks” and “dab” to when ya dancing.

Speaking of those less than glamorous times before his growing success, Cal lets you know that his come up is something that should make you “Hold Up” and notice. He takes it there with: “People said I wouldn’t amount to sh-t…used to ask my Mama for the whip/Now I’m presidential in the six.”

The single is the lead track off Cal’s next EP “Long Story Short”, which is set to release in March 2017. The official music video will be shot this month and is expected to release within the next two weeks.
