We recently sat down with Louisiana artist 23KayB for an exclusive “Of The Porch” interview! During our conversation he talked about finishing an upcoming EP with JayDaYoungan, his childhood growing up in Shreveport, having to overcome hate to make it out of Louisiana, jumping off the porch, getting into trouble during high school, getting into a lot o fights, starting to make music when he was 17, quitting Kroger after he got his first check, his song “Jeremy Shockey” with JayDaYoungan blowing up, his close relationship with Jay, speaks on Jay having a good heart, still grieving his passing, keeping his focus on the music, artists he is listening to right now, being an independent artist, what separates him from other artists, fatherhood, the inspiration for his song “Sirens”, having bad encounters with he police, social media’s impact on this generation, his new single “On23” that was dedicated to Jay, the emotions he went through while recording the song, responding to Foolio on new song “Troll K”, upcoming project with Jay, wanting to sign with a major, goals, shares advice, and much more!
