During the interview, the respected lyricist discussed a range of topics, including efforts to create a coalition to preserve hip-hop culture, as well as the presence of ageism within the art form.
As the global genre continues to expand and may even reach intergalactic heights, Afrika challenged Hip-Hop’s respected artists to come together to help sustain the culture and even the health of its creators, and even suggests securing medical insurance for its participants.
Everything from the evolution of deejaying to the Illuminati to ageism as it relates to Hip-Hop is discussed in this insightful clip. The South Bronx legend also questioned why other musical genres can grow with their artists, but Hip-Hop continues to place expiration dates on its artists.
