AJ Johnson on 'Baby Boy', House Party', Dating Holyfield (Full Interview)
Adrienne-Joi “AJ” Johnson came through for her first-ever VladTV interview, and she started off speaking to Shawn Prez about excelling in high school in New Jersey, and later deciding to go to Spelman. From there, AJ detailed meeting Evander Holyfield in a dance club when she was in college, and she then spoke about the bond they built while dating. AJ also spoke about getting her big break into film when Spike Lee cast her in “School Daze,” which she admits set her up for a career in Hollywood. AJ then spoke about being chosen as the choreographer for “In Living Color,” which she had to leave when she was cast in “House Party.” During the conversation, AJ also spoke about Bill Cosby helping her early in her career, which led to AJ addressing Cosby’s recent controversies.
