The Byzantine Empire has fallen to the crusader armies and Venice. In its ruins rises the Katepanid dynasty of Italy. Upon hearing of the Venetian-orchestrated murder of his father in Constantinople, his son swears that the Katepanid dynasty will have its revenge.
