Charles Cosby discussed the 1992 killing of Griselda Blanco’s son Osvaldo by Pablo Escobar. According to Cosby, the murder was an act of vengeance against Blanco, who allegedly had her henchman kill Chucho Castro along with Castro’s young son. After his release from prison, Osvaldo publicly insulted Escobar, further inflaming the dispute. Following Osvaldo’s death, Cosby’s relationship with Blanco’s organization weakened as Blanco was already in prison and couldn’t attend the funeral. In her absence, she sent a note threatening those responsible for her son’s death. Cosby recounted how Blanco’s threats were realized: one killer took his life in a church confession box after admitting to the crime, while the second killer was captured, tortured, and killed, with the body dumped on a soccer field.
