Choir Teacher Allegedly Paid Teen for Underage Sex Acts: Police
Gospel singer and former choir teacher Josh Kagler, once celebrated for his role in a Grammy-winning gospel album, has been arrested in New Orleans on multiple serious charges including child sex trafficking, rape, and indecent behavior with juveniles. The investigation began after a mother allegedly discovered sexually explicit messages on her 16-year-old son’s phone, leading to allegations that Kagler paid the teen for sexual acts, arranged rideshares, and used Cash App to send payments. Kagler is currently being held without bond, no longer works at Warren Easton Charter High School, and police are asking any additional victims to come forward as the investigation continues.
