On July 19th just after midnight, a 911 dispatcher received a call. The only thing they could briefly hear was a man’s voice and then eleven gunshots. The dispatcher would never report this call or send police to the area. It would later be discovered that this desperate call for help was placed by NBA star Lorenzen Wright, who would be missing for 10 days. A trace of the call would lead to the tragic discovery of Lorenzen’s body. The murder of Lorenzen was a case that captivated the nation and despite an intense investigation, the case would remain unsolved for years. A break in the case would uncover the chilling and heartbreaking nature of Wright’s final moments and the sadistic plan that took this local hometown hero from his community and a father from his 6 children.
