1993 SPECIAL REPORT: "FACE THE HATE"

“‘Face the Hate’ is a one-hour talk/magazine special that explores ‘hate-ism’ in society. The show features a studio town-hall discussion with concerned citizens, community leaders and victims and perpetrators of hate crimes. Included in the show are video documentaries that profile: a neo-nazi compound in Pennsylvania never before seen on television, civil rights attorney Morris Dees, the Simon Wiesenthal Museum of Tolerance, and a former Aryan leader who renounced his racist activities and speaks to young people about tolerance. The mission behind ‘Face the Hate’ was to expose racism and hate-ism and to create a dialogue about the need for human harmony.”–1993 Peabody Awards entry form excerpt.
