Our panelists share in an intimate roundtable their experiences as documentarians whose projects were released during the pandemic with much acclaim. Their works are notable because of the design and techniques they used to amplify intriguing stories about important social and cultural figures. As directors, screenwriters, and producers, they walk us through the integral role of faith in telling unsung stories that are recounted in ways that are true to their communities. Their recent projects are: “Marian Anderson: The Whole World in Her Hands” (Rita Coburn); “Otis’ Dream” (Otis Moss, III); and “America’s Black Prophet” (E. Bernard Jordan).
