With the NFC Championship game only three days away, tensions are running high with a Super Bowl berth on the line and the tenuous status of three of the Packers’ top playmakers isn’t helping matters in Green Bay.

Wideouts Jordy Nelson, Davante Adams, and Geronimo Allison appeared prominently on the injury report Thursday as Green Bay continues to prepare for Sunday’s showdown with the Atlanta Falcons. Nelson is still recovering from multiple broken ribs sustained in the Packers’ win over the Giants two weeks ago while Adams injured his left ankle in the fourth quarter of last weekend’s victory over the Cowboys, and Allison deals with a hamstring injury.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday that Green Bay expects Adams and Allison to play, while Nelson’s status remains uncertain. Nelson called the broken ribs “the worst pain in his life” but still remained optimistic that he would be cleared to play which is good news for QB Aaron Rodgers who was without the services of one of his favorite targets last weekend.
