Afroman sat down for an exclusive interview with VladTV, where he opened up about the surprising success of “Because I Got High.” He explained that things happened for him by chance after he went to a rave in New Orleans and gave up on selling his CDs after realizing that no one was buying them. Within two days of giving away the CDs for free, Universal Music was calling him for a record deal, and the song had made it around the world overnight thanks to Napster.
