America Ferrera on Golden Globes Mishap, Life Before Fame + Minorities in the Industry

The beautiful America Ferrara stopped by the Shade 45 studios to discuss a few things that have been going on in her world.

First up is her disdain for how the media and entertainment industries people all the people of color in one box. This conversation derived from the mishap that occurred on the Golden Globes where the announcers mistakingly introduced America by the wrong name.

She also spoke on her new sitcom she’s starring in titled, Super Store.

America touched on her life before the fame and how she and all of her siblings acquired enough domestic skills for a life time while working almost every position a hotel had to offer. Now she’s in the works with NBC as she begins her own production company.
