Fighter, father and champion.

The WBC Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder took a few minutes away from training and preparation to stop by Sway in the Morning, which is definitely appreciated. With Alabama claiming another National Championship last night, apparently it’s something in the water out there in Tuscaloosa that breeds a champion pedigree. Evander Holyfield and Joe Louis are both from Alabama as well. The latter even inspired the nickname that Wilder carries into the ring with him “The Bronze Bomber” as Joe was known as the “Brown Bomber”.

Growing up as a shy kid that always seemed to get tested and even became sick of fighting, he turned that aggression into something positive earning his way to a perfect 35-0 record. Wilder has not only posted perfection but done so in exciting fashion, knocking out 34 of the 35 opponents he has faced. While on the show, Tracy spoke up for the ladies questioning whether or not that knockout power only lived in the ring or did it extend to the bedroom as well. That’s an answer you’ll definitely have to press play for. Real Tears….

Check out the full interview below and be sure to tune in this Saturday, January 16th as he defends his title against southpaw Artur Szpilka at the Barclay’s Center.
