https://www.vladtv.com – During an exclusive interview for VladTV conducted by Leyla Stacked, the artist formerly known as Bobby Valentino freely expounds upon the situation which prompted his name change. Having secured the spotlight as the frontman for the late ’90s boy-band Mista, Robert “Bobby V” Wilson has come to appreciate the intricacies of the music business.

The “Mrs. Officer” crooner openly shares his perspective about the legal ordeal.

“Somebody already had the name copywritten. When it came down to it, copyrights always overrule anything else. So, you know, that’s pretty much the gist of it,” states the soulful songbird. To date, Bobby V. has invested nearly 20 years into his craft. Both brand awareness, and the commitment to affirming his musical legacy, has helped with the transitioning of his moniker.

Continuing, Bobby V. speaks further on the unsuccessful litigation from British singer Bobby Valentino. “He has the name copywritten. We tried to coexist with it, and it couldn’t. So, there you have it. It’s Bobby V. Now…You incur lawyer’s fees– and all types of things — it’s something that I don’t want to dwell on. It’s just something that happens. You move forward and you make the best of it.”
