Chance the Rapper Donates $1M to Chicago Public Schools

Chance the Rapper held a press conference at Westcott Elementary School in Chicago on Monday and announced that he is personally making a $1 million donation to Chicago Public Schools. Chance spoke about the “urgent need” to fund Chicago schools during his press conference and touched on the unsuccessful meeting he held with Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner last week. Chance also called for big corporations to follow his lead and make donations of their own to the school system in his hometown.
