In this clip, D.L. Hughley and DJ Vlad discuss some of the pressing social issues in the United States. Hughley, who has always been outspoken explained how Obama represents what the country aspires to be, but Trump is a representation of who we are. He also chimed in on Trump’s comments comparing Robert E. Lee to George Washington and Thomas Jefferson to which point D.L. states that Washington nor Jefferson “took up arms against the Republic.” Hughley goes onto say that the Confederate statues are just reminders of who loss the Civil War and asked: “since when do losers get trophies?” D.L. and DJ Vlad also have a mild debate about Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump representing ‘two sides of the same coin,’ namely surrounding Clinton’s husband Bill Clinton’s 1994 crime bill that saw incarceration rates of Black men skyrocket.
