In this clip, Damian Marley details the collaboration album with Queens legend Nas entitled, “Road to Zion.” Marley gives DJ Vlad the backstory to how the album came about as well as the underlining meaning and connection the album has to Africa, and Ethiopia in particular. The two discuss connection between reggae and hip-hop dating back to hip-hop’s inception through DJ Kool Herc. Later on Damian Marley talks about his collaboration with Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones and reveals that he simultaneously worked on both collab projects for the first two weeks of recording. He praised Mick Jagger for his vibrant spirit and genuine passion for music at such an advanced age, something Marley hopes to have at that stage in his life.
