In this clip, Dee details how he went to JAY-Z when Hov became the president at Def Jam to ask for DMX’s release. According to Dee, following JAY-Z’s new appointment at the time, X felt “uncomfortable” with the entire situation. But the rapport that Dee built with Jay allowed for an amicable split. Dee then shifts gears and opens up about the last time he was arrested and sent to jail. He talks about how he was brought up on drug and weapons charges after guns and a kilogram of cocaine was found in a car he was driving. Dee said he had a co-defendant in the case that was in college with no prior record and explained how he cut a deal that allowed him the least amount of time possible while letting his co-defendant go free. In the end, Dee served just under a year for the charge.
