https://www.vladtv.com – Serayah McNeill – also known as budding songstress Tiana Brown on FOX’s smash-hit “Empire” – sat down with VladTV to discuss how the show became one of the most high-rated dramas in recent years and how the musical aspect of the show gets her the most notoriety. “I get noticed for ‘Drip Drop’ more than my own name,” Serayah admits.

The 20-year-old actress and singer has been perfecting her craft since the age of 11, and up until this year has only appeared in “a lot of independent stuff.” It wasn’t until an old high school friend of McNeill informed her that his mother was the casting director for “Empire” Director Lee Daniels – Serayah auditioned for the role and was casted within days after a memorable performance of a Nicki Minaj track during the casting process.

When asked about the music on the show, Serayah cites “You’re So Beautiful” as her favorite track, but says ‘Drip Drop’ is the one people refer to the most. “People make jokes about it all the time,” she claims. “[It’s] one of those songs where you’re like ‘UGHHH,’ but you keep singing it.”

Find out which actors on the crew she ran lines with, how Timbaland musical direction helped “opened up a lot of ears and eyes” to the show, and more about her breakout role in the hit series in this exclusive clip.
