Kevin McCall on His “Big Break” & Signing to Chris Brown’s Label

https://www.vladtv.com – Kevin McCall tells the story of his “big break,” saying it all began when he was invited to a studio session with Chris Brown and now dismantled girl group, RichGirl, to which Brown’s solo artist, Sevyn Streeter, was once a member and lead vocalist. Brown left the room to get beats for the girls and McCall began playing his own beat CD for those in the studio. Brown heard the beat and immediately wanted to write to the track, with Brown, Tank and BJ The Chicago Kid working on the melodies. Once Brown realized McCall produced the song, he wanted to continue collaborating, which eventually led to Brown signing the Watts singer/songwriter.
