Montana of 300 made a name for himself in the hip-hop world after his “Chiraq” remix went viral, and he explained to VladTV that he was frustrated with the pace his rap career was taking off, so he decided to “go off” on the track. The move paid off, and the Chicago rapper has done several other remixes of popular songs since then, but he says he’s not worried about being known more for his remixes than his original music. Montana explained that he does the remixes to show love and appreciation to fans for putting him on the map, but he added that his true fans know that he does more than remixes.

During the conversation the “Land of the Dark” rapper shared his thoughts on the possibility of Kanye ever coming to Chicago in person. Montana explains that while it would mean a lot if Kanye showed up in Chicago, he believes that there could be a host of reasons that could be keeping Kanye from showing up in person.
