Lil Yachty is one of those rappers who has seemingly come out of nowhere. We haven’t gotten to see the usual progress from early mixtape to a well-rounded artist, instead encountering a fully-formed artist in “Yachty.”

We recently had the fascinating Lil Yachty in HotNewHipHop’s studio for an episode of “On The Come Up.” Yachty talks about his youth (“I was a weird kid”), his master plan for making it big, and what “Flex Music” is. He also talks about meeting Ian Connor and connecting over his dope Supreme hoodie.
