In this clip, Turk talks about the passing of Fats Domino and how much he meant to New Orleans and music in general. The conversation switches up and Turk talks about his start in rapping and the back story of joining Cash Money. Turk revealed how he made a “friendly” diss track about B.G. whom he’d known from middle school. He said it was a way that he could build up a buzz to try to get on, in the same way, many other rappers have in the past.

Turk also said what may sound controversial; he noted that Cash Money had New Orleans on lock and that most of the city really didn’t mess with No Limit in the same way people outside of New Orleans did. Turk went on to detail how much influence Cash Money had in the streets, particularly Soulja Slim who he dubbed the Tupac of New Orleans. He also gave the backstory to how he became a member of the Hot Boys.
