Although most may only recognize Kidd Kidd as the newest member of G-Unit, the rapper is much deeper than many may realize. Prior to that, Kidd Kidd was one of the first artists signed to Young Money Entertainment. He is a former member of the group, Squad Up along with rapper Gudda Gudda. The group left the label in the mid 2000s and they eventually disbanded. He’s appeared on the projects of countless rappers, featured on Lil Wayne’s “Mrs. Officer” off Tha Carter III and several of 50 Cent’s solo efforts, including the most recent LP, Animal Ambition. Kidd is currently prepping a solo mixtape for release in mid-2015. Watch above as he tells us why he should appear on the coveted XXL Freshmen list.
