A Fourth of July celebration in Albuquerque turned deadly when a violent confrontation between estranged spouses allegedly escalated into a drive-by shooting that left 39-year-old Joel Valdez dead in the street. Investigators say months of explosive fights, accusations of infidelity, threats, and gun violence boiled over after Erica Valdez allegedly discovered her husband with another woman, leading to a chaotic chase that their own daughter claimed ended with Erica pulling alongside Jo-Elle’s car and opening fire.
