The project reportedly drew a cease and desist from Rick Ross, who believed the movie echoed his own life story.
Freeway Ricky found the situation amusing, noting Remy Ma’s connection to Ross and her decision to avoid legal trouble to preserve their friendship. He added that while Ross saw the movie as personal, Remy Ma never explicitly mentioned him in the film.
Ricky also suggested that Remy Ma could have used “eminent domain” to proceed without issue, even offering to collaborate given his own experience.
