Nipsey Hussle's Lost Dr Sebi Documentary
If there’s one thing that’s undeniable about the late Nipsey Hussle, it’s that uplifting his community was of paramount importance to him. Where other rappers insulate themselves in their fame, Nipsey refused to abandon his roots, nor cower away from the danger that came from being a recognizable face with a gangland past.
More interested in generational wealth than stereotypical rappers, Nip was talking about how real estate and investment would benefit his community before he was barely out of the hood himself. And Later down the line, this would translate to philanthropy at all levels, ranging from donating shoes to a local school to hiring homeless people in his neighborhood.
But while he was killed on the same Slauson Avenue streets that molded him, it wasn’t just the people in his community that he tried to level up.
In fact, in the run-up to Nipsey’s death, he’d spoken of the unparalleled benefits of the Honduran holistic healer known as Dr. Sebi.
Born Alfredo Bowman, Sebi was a controversial figure in the wellness community who preached the benefits of an alkaline diet and believed that all manner of diseases could be cured and avoided altogether through evading foods that cause mucus & acidity.
