According to reports, Takeoff’s untimely passing last month in Houston has caused a rift between his mother’s side of the family and his father’s side of the family over who will control the rapper’s estate. Takeoff (whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball) died with a net worth of $26 million and no child to inherit his wealth. Hence, without a will to delegate his assets, Georgia law states that his closest relatives are now in line to obtain his money and assets, including his valuable catalog or residual income from record sales. That means there’s a lot at stake for Takeoff’s mom (Titania Davenport-Treet) and dad (Kenneth M Ball), who do not live together and reportedly don’t get along.
Takeoff is said to have been raised by his mother without the help of his biological father. As of now, information on Kenneth M Ball’s involvement in Takeoff’s upbringing is scarce.
