A remarkably successful, Black male rapper does not become a so-called ‘gang member’ because the lyrics in his music vividly portray urban life. The First Amendment exists to protect Gunna’s freedom of expression. The prosecution wants to stifle his speech via a discriminatory, sham criminal case. The prosecutors have repeatedly lied and misled the Judge at every hearing, with impunity. This is not fundamental fairness. This is a travesty of justice. Gunna looks forward to trial, where a fair and impartial jury of his peers will put an end to this charade with a not guilty verdict.”
