Coolio's Son Reveals His Father's Cause of Death!

“Gangsta’s Paradise” rapper Coolio died late last month at a friend’s home in Los Angeles. He was 59.

At the time, a cause of death was not announced, but in an interview with The US Sun earlier this week, the Grammy winner’s oldest son, Artis Ivey III, spoke about his father’s passing, which tragically occurred on Ivey’s 33rd birthday.

While his son says the rapper was known to use drugs on occasion, they did not play a part in his death.

“My dad was having a couple of health complications. He was taking care of those things. A lot was going on with asthma, real bad asthma,” Ivey told the publication.

“He was for the most part drug free, but my dad lived for the day, everyone in life has their vices, but those vices never really affected him as a father or a man. He died of natural causes. He just had a heart attack,” he continued.
