We recently sat down with Michigan artist Amere May Jr for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he discussed life in South Haven, his fathers legacy as a basketball player, playing ball at Delaware State University, graduating with a degree in Communications, playing in the NBA Summer League, going overseas to play, his first song buzzing throughout the city, the current state of R&B, his new visuals for “Levels” & single “Thankful”, his high school Coach Grant being one of the inspirations to help with his career, his father coming on the porch to speak on his book “Courtside Conversation”, learning how to deal with life after sports, the importance of not letting money get in the way of your purpose and much more!
