We recently sat down with Atak for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he talked about growing up in Denver, the culture being diverse before gentrification, making a new life for himself in Atlanta, working close with DJ Plugg, the importance of staying authentic, his life without growing up without his dad, having a hard transition when he was younger due to behavior, catching assault cases for fighting when he was young, putting on for Denver, earning his GED, pursing his career in barbering, finding therapy with writing music, dropping his first project in 2002 , making projects for over 20 years,  networking outside of his city to build his buzz, the new ways of the streaming era, getting his name Atak from his fighting past, writing his own music, surviving multiple shootings, his single with Shawty Lo, his upcoming project ‘Stronger Than My Demons’, making relatable music for his fans, having your money right as an independent artist, fatherhood and more!
