Biggs on Helping JAY-Z and Jim Jones Squash Beef, Cam'ron and JAY-Z Friction (Flashback)
In this flashback, Roc-A-Fella co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke spoke about how Cam’ron and Dispet came to the label, which he says was a result of Cam calling Dame Dash. Biggs explained that Cam’s solo album was nearly completed, and featured the songs “Hey Ma” and “Oh Boy.” Biggs added that he was blown away by Cam’s project and knew they had to sign him, and he went on to speak about Cam’s first solo project. When it comes to the friction between Cam’ron and Jay-Z, which Biggs said happened down the line. Biggs pointed to an interview Cam’ron did, where he said that he was angry with Jay over a song, and Biggs detailed the extreme competitiveness between the artists on the label. Biggs added that Jay-Z doesn’t speak about his past with Cam’ron, which led to Biggs speaking about Jay showing Jim Jones love.
