Carl Jones discussed his project, Bubble Goose Ballers NFT (non-fungible token) in a recent interview. The studio, Martian Blueberry, was named as a fun twist on jazz song ‘Strange Fruit.’ The Bubble Goose Ballers came from childhood memories. Despite launching during a bear market, considered a risky move, the company sold out 10k NFTs in less than an hour. Each NFT sold for around $230, grossing about 2.3 million on the first day, with total sales volume reaching approximately 4.8 million. The founder views this not as a payday but as launchpad capital. He praised the new opportunity for content creators provided by NFTs, establishing digital property rights and building a community of stakeholders. The brand is now expanding into merchandise and is in talks with a game company for further collaborations.
