In this clip, Casper TNG opened up about doing music as a kid, including writing songs, and deciding to take things more seriously when he saw the Toronto underground scene bubbling. From there, he spoke about dropping “Dope Boy” in 2014 and the song going viral in Toronto. Casper also explained that a lot of Toronto music was influenced by Philly rappers like Meek Mill at the time he made the song.
