In this clip, Charleston White details starting his 12-year sentence at the Texas Youth Commission and being excited to start his journey as a man, which he had been led to believe by male family members who had been in prison. Charleston explained joining the Rollin 60’s Crips and being eager to please the people in the gang by going at everyone, including adults, which led to him being named “C-Nut.” Charleston then explained that he would’ve done everything for the gang because he was seeking authority figures to guide him in life and he felt let down by not having a father in his life leading up to that point, adding that he just wanted a hug.
