In this clip, pioneering MC Coke La Rock opened up to VladTV about meeting DJ Kool Herc when they were in high school. He explained that Herc was dating a girl from his neighborhood, and he invited Herc to play basketball after seeing him ride by several times. Coke La Rock then revealed that DJ Kool Herc was the only person he knew at the time who bought his own DJ equipment, as everyone else used their parents’ turntables.
