We recently sat down with Gorilla Zoe for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he talked about jumping off the porch when he was 14, finding his way before he made it big as an artist, explains how he locked in with Big Block who convinced him to record “Hood Figga”, Block putting him in Boyz N Da Hood after Jeezy left the group, shooting the music videos for “Coffee Shop”, “Everybody Know Me” & “Hood Figga” in the same week, using music as a way to get out of the streets, his experience on set of the “Coffee Shop” music video, not expecting “Hood Figga” to be a hit, getting the same reaction today when he performs the song as he did 15 years ago, his relationship with Diddy, working on his debut album ‘Welcome To The Zoo’, being featured on the XXL Freshman cover in 2008, following up with his single “Lost”, Lil Wayne getting on the remix, dropping a pop single “Echo”, finishing his shows with “Helluvalife” feat Gucci Mane & OJ Da Juiceman, Shawty Lo putting him on the remix to “Dey Know”, being on the remix to Webbie’s “Independent”, reveals why he dropped a mixtape everyday in February 2010, working with Sonny Digital, Metro Boomin & DJ Spinz, signing with Flo-Rida, writing for other artists, dropping multiple projects in 2020, reveals what inspires him to keep creating in 2023, his next album ‘They Shoulda Neva Fed The Animals’, fatherhood, and much more!
