Gravy on Playing Biggie, Getting Shot at Hot97, Fendi Going to Enemy's Funeral (Full Interview)

Jamal “Gravy” Woolard sat down with VladTV for the first time since acting as The Notorious B.I.G. in the late rapper’s biopic. The actor described growing up in Brooklyn with his sisters and mother, who struggled with drug abuse. Gravy also talked about his experiences in the music industry and having a past issue with Uncle Murda. He addressed getting shot at Hot 97 and thinking it would add to his buzz. However, he was dropped by his label and banned from the radio station. He explained how he was encouraged to play Biggie and revealed Beanie Sigel and Sean Kingston were considered for the role. Gravy described getting cast to play Biggie, despite having no acting experience and gaining over 100 pounds for the role.
