Hollywood & Football Legend Fred "The Hammer" Williamson Tells His Life Story (Full Interview)

Fred Williamson, Hollywood icon and former football player, recently made an appearance on VladTV. Born in Gary, Indiana, Williamson, also known as “The Hammer,” discussed his upbringing as an only child, going out of his way to prove he was not weak despite his good looks and well-dressed appearance. Facing tests of toughness led to the family’s move to Chicago, where he later graduated from DuSable High School. He went on to join the Marines and received a scholarship at Northwestern University, not for football, but for track and field. During his time at Northwestern, he was persuaded by the coaches to join the football team and reportedly received numerous benefits, including a new car every year, from team boosters. Following graduation, he joined the NFL and played for the San Francisco 49ers. Check out the rest of the interview to hear about Williamson’s transition into an iconic Hollywood film career.
