In this clip, Illmind opened up about working with Khalid on “Shot Down,” which he said was a result of Khalid’s producer Syk Sense reaching out. He also spoke about working with Bryson Tiller the same year, which later led to Illmind confirming that the beat for Tiller’s “Benz Truck” was originally meant for Drake. From there, Illmind spoke about having 40 plaques for hit songs that he’s worked on, and he revealed which one is the most meaningful to him. Illmind then detailed working with Drake on “You and the 6” and “Blue Tint,” and he revealed how Boi1da brought him in for the former. He then revealed that he met Drake at a party after working together, which led to Illmind speaking about working with artists virtually. Illmind also spoke about working with Future on “Zoom,” and he shared some details about his creative process when collaborating with a record producer Southside, along with the other members of the 808 Mafia. The New Jersey native also reveals what it was like to make two songs for the Honcho Jack album with fellow record producer Murda Beatz. From there, Illmind explains what led to his music being used by U.K. rapper Stormzy before he lays out his philosophy on networking and the importance of working with your peers in order to move upwards in your career.
