In this clip, award-winning actor Isaiah Washington reflects back on joining the bipartisan advocate group called #Cut50 at the White House as they celebrated the enactment of Donald Trump’s bill, the First Step Act. Isaiah then spoke about the positive impact that the legislation had on poor Latinos, Blacks, and Whites who were unfairly imprisoned for way too long for marijuana possession. From there, he talks about his inadvertent involvement in the “Walk Away” movement with several former Democrats and how a controversial ‘April Fools Day’ tweet of his landed him in hot water with Barak Obama’s supporters. This leads to a discussion about the public perception of African Americans such as himself and Ice Cube, who imply that they may vote Republican and the backlash that they face.

Later, Isaiah Washington shares his thoughts on Kanye’s controversial statement about Black people choosing slavery and Harriet Tubman not being responsible for freeing slaves. From there, DJ Vlad and Isaiah Washington engage in a spirited conversation about the “Central Park Five,” why former U.S. President Donald Trump wanted them to hang and why he did as well (at the time). Isaiah then explains why he was against the “Central Park Five,” stating that the “Wilding” movement became a huge nuisance within the African American community, and people were genuinely scared to travel through Central Park because of it. Moving along, they exchange their thoughts on Donald Trump’s political career before Isaiah airs out his grievances with the media.
