Jordan explains how a criminal background impacts millions of people in the United States — affecting their ability to rent, pass background checks, work in certain industries, and maintain their mental health. He speaks on post-conviction redlining, collateral consequences, the Alliance for Safety and Justice, and its achievements. The public policy organization has passed 100 laws in 10 years, reduced the records of 400,000 people, and expunged 75% of criminal records in California.
