In this clip, Jeff Hamilton talked about leaving Guess Jeans after “becoming too successful too quickly,” and deciding to venture out to craft his own lifestyle brand. In the process of creating the Jeff Hamilton brand, he recalled getting into designing leather jackets which would become his calling card, especially for entertainers and professional athletes.

Later in the clip, Jeff Hamilton discussed some of his early work with NBA players and the jackets he made for them. He said those early projects led to eventual licensing deals with the NBA and other professional sports leagues. The designer also recounted designing the jackets for the Dream Team but said the real hype around his jackets began in 1995 when he designed the championship jacket for Michael Jordan.
