In this clip, Lil Flip shares his thoughts on the Versuz battle between UGK and 8Ball & MJG. The Texas native voiced his displeasure with the live audience and the producer’s choice not to have the event somewhere such as Houston, Texas. From there, the 41-year-old rapper looks back on the influence that UGK, 8Ball & UGK had on his artistry before revealing that he has some new music on the way with Lil Keke.

As the discussion moves along, Lil Flip talks about the news of Scarface retiring from rap after his farewell tour. Lil Flip said in so many words that he doesn’t actually think he will remain retired. According to Flip, artists are impulsive as a result of being driven by inspiration and it’s no guarantee that Scarface won’t feel inspired and compelled to make music after this tour. Lil Flip also doesn’t want him to retire because the two of them have yet to record a song together.
