We recently sat down with Colorado artist Mathias DaGreat for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he talked about the way of life in Denver, the culture on the Eastside of Denver, his upbringing, being raised by his grandmother, reveals that his mom passed away when he was 1 year old, his close relationship with his uncle, getting arrested on a gun charge when he was 12, starting off writing poetry, his love for reading since a young age, artists he grew listening to, moving to Fort Lauderdale, starting to take music seriously while in Florida, reveals one of the biggest life lessons he learned, reveals he wanted to kill somebody the night he recorded his song “Woo”, the inspiration for his project ‘The Denver Demon’, his performances on The Debut, using DMT as therapy, and much more!
