Metta World Peace: When the NBA First Started It Was Very Racist (Flashback)

In this flashback, Metta World Peace addressed racism in the NBA, and he addressed the controversy surrounding former Clippers owner Donald Sterling, who was banned from the league for life in 2014 after recordings of him being racist were publicly released. Metta explained that he thought Sterling wanted money over owning the team, and he added that Sterling’s true beliefs were exposed in the footage. Speaking about racism in the NBA, Metta World Peace pointed out that the league was very racist when it started in the 1950s and Black players weren’t allowed to play.
