In this clip, comedian Michael Blackson shared the inspiration and implementation progress of a school he has built in Ghana. Michael, who lived in America for 15 years before returning to Africa, was shocked by the number of children he saw not attending school during school hours. Upon investigation, he found that many families were unable to afford education, leading to overpopulated government schools or children being left without an education entirely. Determined to make a difference, he began saving money to build a school, a project that reached completion in December 2021, with the opening ceremony conducted in early January this year. The school, named Michael Blackson Academy, welcomes 100 students from kindergarten to grade 3, which will help ensure they are equipped for the free senior high school education that kicks in from grade 10. Michael has shared plans to expand the student base by 20 each year.
