In this clip, action film star Michael Jai White and DJ Vlad discuss obesity amongst Hollywood celebrities such as Lizzo and DJ Khaled. DJ Vlad argues that the public treats DJ Khaled far better than Lizzo in terms of reacting to their physical appearance, which in his eyes, is sexist. In response, Michael states that Black women are also subject to racism when it comes to beauty standards. He also adds that Lizzo’s rise to fame has emboldened other women who are overweight, and that isn’t necessarily a good thing. As the conversation moves along, Michael talks about trying to help his parents change their dietary habits for the better. To that, DJ Vlad talks about “Soul Food” and why the deliciousness of the components is so unhealthy. Lastly, DJ Vlad shares his regret for not recommending that DJ Kay Slay take the Covid vaccine shortly before he passed away.
